The sanitary ball valve is a type of valve widely used in industries such as food and pharmaceuticals. Its applicable scope and characteristics can be summarized as follows: 

Scope of Application

1. Food industry: Hygienic ball valves can be used on food and beverage production lines to control the entry and exit of raw materials and the transportation of products. Characteristics

2. Excellent sealing performance: The opening and closing element (the ball) of the sanitary ball valve is driven by the valve stem to rotate around the valve stem axis. When the valve stem rotates 90 degrees, the ball passage aligns with or is perpendicular to the inlet and outlet channels of the valve, thereby enabling the valve to be opened or closed. This structure ensures that when the valve is fully open or closed, the sealing surfaces of the ball and the valve seat are isolated from the medium, guaranteeing excellent sealing performance. 

3. Low fluid resistance: The sanitary ball valve features a completely unobstructed valve chamber design, resulting in minimal resistance when fluid passes through. The resistance coefficient is equal to that of a pipe section of the same length. This helps reduce pressure losses in the pipeline system and improve the efficiency of fluid transportation. 

4. Simple structure, small size, and light weight: The sanitary ball valve has a simple and compact structure, with a small size and light weight. It is easy to install and maintain. At the same time, its operating torque is much smaller than that of a gate valve, and the force required for opening and closing is also very small, making the operation more convenient and flexible. 

5. Wide application range: The diameter range of sanitary ball valves is extensive, covering from a few millimeters to several meters. At the same time, it can also adapt to various working environments ranging from high vacuum to high pressure. 

6. Easy maintenance: The sealing rings of sanitary ball valves are usually movable, making disassembly and replacement relatively convenient. This reduces the maintenance difficulty and cost, and extends the service life of the valve.
